Gala Apple Tree

Gala apple trees are a favorite for their sweet, crisp fruit and stunning red-yellow blush. The medium-sized apples are perfect for fresh eating, salads, and light baking, offering a mild flavor that appeals to all ages. This early to mid-season variety thrives in full sun and well-draining soil, requiring moderate chill hours. Gala trees are partially self-fruitful but benefit from a pollinator, such as Fuji or Pink Lady, for increased yields. With its reliable productivity, easy care, and versatile fruit, Gala is an excellent choice for home orchards and small gardens.

Semi-dwarf on M111 rootstock.

  • Zones: 5-8
  • Chill hours: 500-700

A great pollinator for most apple varieties, this apple is great for fresh eating, sauces and cider. The Gala apple has a very long shelf life, especially when refrigerated. Fruits in 2 years.
